Callie McCormack
Hello Chargers! I am Miss McCormack the 8th Grade U.S History Teacher and Assistant Varsity Cheer Coach. I am so excited to start the school year and look forward to meeting everyone!
I grew up with my family, two younger siblings and my parents in Agoura Hills, California outside of Los Angeles. My family and I love the outdoors; we would go camping, fishing, hiking, and snowboarding whenever we could. Besides camping, my siblings and I were into sports. My sister and I did cheerleading while my brother played football, baseball and lacrosse. I ended up attending Agoura High School where I cheered all four years. During my time on the Agoura Cheer Team, we won 3 National Championships. Along with cheerleading I took up a part time job as a party host at a children’s indoor playground called Bright Child. During my time at Bright Child I had the pleasure of hosting birthday parties for celebrities, filming movies and eventually becoming the General Manager a couple years after I graduated Agoura High School.
After high school, I continued working as a General Manager at Bright Child and attended Moorpark Community College where I then
transferred to California State University Northridge. Once at CSUN I decided I wanted to get my degree in History. During my time at CSUN I had the pleasure of studying aboard in Ireland during the summer and traveling throughout Europe. In 2013 I graduated from CSUN with my BA in History. In 2015 I decided to move to Arizona and attend graduate school at Arizona State University. During graduate school, I student taught 8th Grade U.S History at another charter school. In December of 2016 I graduated from ASU with my teaching certificate and Masters in Education.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love to go camping up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California and traveling to different states when I can. I love sports and enjoy going to games. My teams are UCLA, ASU, Green Bay Packers, Blackhawks, and Angels. I enjoy reading and watching movies anything fantasy, and action related and of course I love to learn anything new about American History.
